FORMWORK DESIGN
AND MODELLING
We produce the design even where we do not build the mould: dimensional survey, three-dimensional model, fabrication drawings and structural calculation. Revision of existing formwork falls under the same scope.
WHEN IT HELPS
A precast plant moving to a new element type, a contractor adapting existing tunnel formwork to a new project, or a mould maker needing design capacity in a busy period all face the same question: how should this mould be configured?
We answer that question independently of manufacturing. The resulting design can go into our own production or be built in the customer's own workshop — the choice is theirs.
Survey and configuration
The mould configuration is derived from element section, casting cycle and site conditions: division plan, stripping direction, mechanism type.
Three-dimensional modelling
The mould is modelled in SolidWorks. Assembly and stripping sequence, clash checks and clearances for moving parts are verified before fabrication.
Structural calculation
Fresh concrete pressure is calculated to DIN 18218. Panel plate, stiffening profiles, tie spacing and the deflection limit are dimensioned accordingly.
Fabrication drawings
Cutting lists, weld details, assembly drawings and part numbering. The workshop receives documents it can work from directly.
Lifting and handling check
Piece weights, lifting points and hook capacity are checked; the mould is split to suit crane capacity where required.
Revision design
Adapting existing formwork to a new geometry: which parts stay, which change, and what the loads become in the new section.
HOW IT RUNS
- Element section, cycle target and site information are shared.
- Scope and duration are confirmed in writing.
- A preliminary configuration is presented; dimensions and mechanism are agreed.
- Model, calculation and fabrication drawings are completed.
- Questions from the workshop are answered during fabrication.
